Name and IP address verification is a free service that we offer when you use any of our other verification services. When you use name verification we make sure that the name is correctly formatted before it hits your database, and is profanity free.

With IP verification we allow you to specify which countries are allowable countries to register on your website. If you want United States visitors only then we will block out all other IPs that have a different geographical location. You can even setup your very own custom messages when a user attempts to come to your site that is outside of your allowed countries.

Just to make sure the most accurate information gets plugged into your database, we do the following for name verification:

• Capitalize the first letter of the name
• Check for only alphabetic characters
• Make sure there is no profanity
• Return possible gender of user

We want to make sure you are getting the best information possible without stopping your users from continuing though the registration process. We understand that there are many users that could have unique names which may not be found via a name database check which is why we do not check if the name is pre-existing.

To assist with fraud reduction we allow you to specify which countries you want to allow to register on your website. When using the Javascript implementation of XVerify we can track the IP addresses of your users. Each IP address tells us the geographical location of the user, which can allow you to limit which users come in.

In our experience most of our clients use US and CANADA traffic only therefore they add US and Canada to their allowable list and anytime someone from a different country attempts to register they will get a blocked message which will not allow them to proceed. All of our blocked messages are fully customizable so if you wanted your response message to say "Sorry we are not taking registrations from your country at this time" you can! It's completely up to you
